We are looking for a Software developer specialised with Python and Java for one of our clients, an investment bank set in Montreal

The team is responsible for overseeing compliance with laws, regulations, guidelines and policies that apply to the firm’s banking and financial activities, particularly in the areas of anti-money laundering, anti-terrorism financing, sanctions & embargoes, know-your-customer obligations, client protection, market integrity, anti-bribery & corruption, data protection and client tax transparency.
The team enables the firm to operate according to essential compliance standards, ensures the compagny’s non-compliance and reputation risks are controlled, while supporting the business with existing activities and in the development of new products or services. Compliance acts as a second line of defense, developing and implementing policies, procedures and controls, monitoring activities, advising the business, assessing risks, and providing training to ensure understanding and application of requirements, contributing to spread a culture of compliance within the Group.
Within a robust governance and risk management framework the team provides expertise in Business Advisory, Financial Crime prevention, Banking, Securities and other applicable regulations, communications and trade surveillance, Second Line testing and monitoring and compliance risk assessment. As part of a global financial institution providing services across the globe, the team also cooperates closely on a daily basis with our Head-Office and global affiliates to ensure compliance with the regulations in the countries where the company operates and to address cross-border regulatory matters.


Work on a complex project that requires expertise in python program and database skill.
Work closely with business analysts, team members, project leaders to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
Intensive coding in python language.


Expert in Python (5+ years) and SQL, including database tuning (MS SQL, Oracle) and databases (2+ years).
Software Engineering : Experienced in defining technical specs, debugging, and troubleshooting applications in financial environments.
Initiative and Results-Oriented : Proven ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and deliver quality results in dynamic environments.
Risk and Compliance: Strong understanding of risk and compliance management in financial firms.

Familiarity with XML technologies, statistics, and AML systems is a plus
Proficient in Java (3+ years)

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related fields (Master’s preferred).
