JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Application / Software Architect (Level 3), will provide the following tasks that may include but are not limited to:

  1. Apply BI Tools and Visualization Technologies to develop solution architectures;
  2. Develop technical architectures, frameworks, and strategies, with a focus on Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Analytics, to meet business and application requirements;
  3. Build and integrate data processing pipelines for enterprise-level Data Analytics;
  4. Design and develop scalable processes to consume, integrate, and analyze large volumes of data (BigData) enabling Machine Learning, Predictive Analysis and/or Artificial Intelligence;
  5. Define performance measures and Key Performance Indicator (KPIs) for analytic processes;
  6. Undertake continuous improvement activities for the Analytics ecosystem;
  7. Identify the policies and requirements that drive out a particular solution based on the principles and methodologies related to Business Intelligence and Data Analytics;
  8. Provision, administer, configure, and support database, data management or Data Analytics solutions in a cloud environment;
  9. Develop IaaS and PaaS solution architectures on cloud platforms such as MS Azure, Amazon, SAP or others utilizing their technology stacks, open-source alternatives and/or a combination;
  10. Analyze and evaluate alternative technology solutions to meet business problems;
  11. Ensure the integration of all aspects of technology solutions;
  12. Gather requirements (BI, and Analytics) and analyze functional requirements to identify information, procedures, and decision flows;
  13. Evaluate existing procedures and methods, identify and document database content, structure, and application sub-systems, and develop data dictionary;
  14. Define and document interfaces of manual to automated operations within application sub-systems, to external systems and between new and existing systems;
  15. Define input/output sources, including detailed plan for technical design phase, and obtain approval of the system proposal;
  16. Identify and document system specific standards relating to areas of expertise such as solution design, common UI for solutions, software and integration patterns, end to end security, programming, documentation, and testing, covering program libraries, data dictionaries, and naming conventions;
  17. All deliverable reports and documentation within the project shall consider market trends, best practices, and industry standards;
  18. Coach, mentor, and knowledge transfer to TC personnel to perform any of the above tasks.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $75.00-$85.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
