Reporting to the HR Business Partner, the HR Assistant (HRA) plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations by supporting human resources functions and providing administrative support to the HR team. This position will be responsible for administrative and associated clerical support in a highly efficient, accurate, and confidential manner to the Human Resources Department. This position communicates with various internal departments and external stakeholders. The successful candidate must be highly organized, an effective communicator, and have the ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail. This is an onsite position, located in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the HR team, where applicable, with executing Heliene’s recruitment process including completing the hiring matrix, responding to applicants, coordinating and booking interviews, and any other administrative duties as required.
- Perform onboarding for SSM and remote employees in Canada and the US.
- Coordinate sensitive and confidential information within a fast-paced environment.
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Team.
- Assist with the coordination of HR projects including the employee engagement program and others, as assigned.
- Maintain HR Job Description Repository for company wide alignment and ensure updates are completed as required including employee sign off on changes.
- Administrative support for IT functions in SSM.
- Order and maintain inventory of office supplies for SSM.
- Draft and proofread correspondence while assisting with communication memos as assigned.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
A degree in Human Resources or a related field with one (1) year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience required.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Strong understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as record keeping and filing.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Passport and ability to travel internationally as required.
Salary Range:
$50,000 to $65,000 Annually
