About the job

The Bilingual Human Resources Manager will be based in Mississauga and will report to the Vice President of Human Resources. The incumbent’s goal in this position is to provide internal consulting and support for all Human Resources initiatives and objectives for designated divisions and will be involved in business decisions relevant to:

  1. Talent management
  2. Organizational effectiveness
  3. Employee relations
  4. Administration of compensation and benefits
  5. Performance management
  6. Learning
  7. Supporting talent acquisition

Will also act as an advisor and business partner to management staff. In addition, your duties will also include:

  1. Conducting investigations regarding discrimination and unfair employment practices.
  2. Managing employment-related legal files from initial stages to resolution in collaboration with internal and external legal counsel.
  3. Developing and conducting training for managers and employees on a variety of subject matters and soft skills identified as business needs.
  4. Managing the effective implementation of HR initiatives, policies, and procedures; providing guidance to employees to ensure complete alignment of HR policies and procedures across all locations.
  5. Administering collective bargaining agreement clauses and general union issues and concerns.
  6. Responsible for the successful negotiation of the collective agreement within company guidelines for the unionized branch.
  7. Work on special projects as assigned.
  8. Ensure both the needs of the business and the needs of the people are met while driving the Company’s standardized processes into the facility.
  9. Proactively manage employee issues, including leaves, attendance, ethics points, and all other employee-related issues requiring HR involvement.
  10. Ensure that performance issues are appropriately documented and monitored for the designated regions.
Qualifications
  1. Experience working hands-on as an HR generalist or manager, serving an internal client group with a wide variety of HR matters.
  2. Able to speak, read, and write in both French and English.
  3. Experience in a role requiring you to work with co-workers or clients in French and English.
  4. Experience working with all modules of SAP SuccessFactors would be an asset.
  5. Experience in a role requiring an understanding of P&L would be an asset.
  6. Experience working in the manufacturing or distribution industry.
  7. CHRL complete or in progress.
  8. University degree or college diploma.
  9. Comfortable with frequent travel to Eastern Canada.
