Position Overview
The WMS Super User will effectively manage the IT and WMS functions on-site and provide a level of service in line with customer requirements, at a level of cost agreed in the budget. To create and develop a professional culture on-site, in line with our values, and ensure that a positive attitude to Health & Safety is embedded within the team on-site.

Business Objectives

1. Contractual customer KPIs are met for service and quality.
2. Costs are controlled in line with budgeted expectations.
3. A NewCold culture is apparent on the site resulting in employee engagement.
4. A safe and healthy work environment is maintained.
5. All site KPIs are reported and achieved.
6. Software Packages (MLS, GLA, etc.) are maintained and controlled.
7. Software and Hardware providers are engaged and performing necessary site requirements.
8. Continuously investigating and implementing system improvements.
9. Fully training other operational staff in the “NewCold Standard.”

Responsibilities & Core Tasks

1. Implementing a cost-conscious culture, focused on achieving high levels of customer service.
2. Training and indirectly managing the team in line with company policy and ensuring agreed standards are met.
3. Working with managers or supervisors on improvement initiatives to reduce cost and/or improve service.
4. Monitoring and reacting to KPI results and working with the Site Manager to identify and share improvement ideas.
5. Creating a culture of a team focused on health, safety, and quality in all aspects of warehouse activity.
6. Working within budgeted guidelines and achieving agreed KPIs.
7. Exploring and implementing additional functionality related to both Software and Hardware systems.
8. Bug detection and fixing with all systems including Software, Hardware, and Material Handling Equipment.
9. Implementing all system updates and planning updates with the corresponding teams or departments.
10. Training operational staff during site start-up and onboarding as well as when updates or improvements are available.
11. Engaging the WMS supplier (Davanti) to ensure MLS is working correctly and system improvements are completed.
12. Engaging the MFCS supplier (GLA) to ensure material handling equipment is maintained and working efficiently, as well as communicating correctly with MLS.
13. Engaging the MHE & PLC controls supplier (NCA) to ensure the MFCS system is communicating correctly.
14. Engaging various Software and Hardware suppliers to maintain site and personnel requirements.
15. Completing local KPI templates and sharing information internally, engaging the local team to search for improvement opportunities.
16. Closely monitoring and controlling all expenditure, focusing on IT-related costs and reacting quickly to adverse variances.
17. Completing agreed internal reporting and communication as required by the Site Manager.

Additional Tasks
Assisting the operation as required by the site, including:

1. Support Business Development initiatives as and when required.
2. Share best practice and standards with colleagues in other NewCold sites and join collaborative projects.
3. Continually look for opportunities for improvement.

Educational Requirements
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
MBI (ICT) Certification(s) (Hardware, Software, Network Connections, etc.).

Experience Requirements
7+ years of operational experience in cold storage IT and WMS systems.
Implementation experience in IT and WMS systems for cold storage facilities.
Training and Team Leadership experience within cross-cultural environments.
Operational experience in fully automated systems.
