Reporting to the Vice President, IT, the purpose of the IT Finance Analyst is to provide financial analysis and identify cost management improvements in the IT business unit. This role will create and prepare financial models, dashboards, and other financial tools as required by the IT Leadership Team to support the financial stewardship of the IT function. This includes the preparation of budgets, forecasts, cost reporting, project costing, management of cost allocations and invoicing on an ongoing basis.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties
  • Prepare financial management reporting including analysis of month-end results and trends; perform variance analysis and analyze business drivers; and preparation of quarterly forecasts.
  • Support month and year-end activities, including accruals, reconciliations, Actual vs Forecast reporting, and KPI reporting.
  • Lead the annual IT budget planning process covering operational and project costs; headcount; and calculation of IT cost allocations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, design, and implement process improvements.
  • Respond to requests and inquiries from internal business partners and external parties.
  • Support the IT team in managing technology contracts, creating business cases, estimating project costs, and assigning capital or operational costs according to corporate finance guidelines.
  • Support external vendor onboarding and PO control processes.
  • Contribute to board level reports as required. Other duties as assigned, including special projects.
Qualifications
  • 2 – 5 years’ work experience developing, executing, and improving financial reporting and performance analysis in a corporate (ideally IT) environment.
  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree with courses in business, accounting or finance.   Professional designation (e.g., CPA, CFA, ASA) or working towards a designation is considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP financial modules.
  • General ledger and transactional accounting experience is an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of excel, including pivot table, lookups, and macros. Knowledge in database, SQL, and Power BI, as well as experience in Manufacturing and/or Equipment Service business, are assets.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member while also demonstrating the ability to influence and lead others.
  • Applies critical self-review and attention to accuracy, demonstrating strong analytical skills with a focus on detail and consistency.
  • Solid time management skills with an ability to set priorities and meet tight deadlines.
