The successful applicant will be expected to pursue an academically focused career based on either a strong track record and commitment to education scholarship or a strong publication and research track record, signaling their ability to obtain peer reviewed grant funding within the early phase of their career.
The cardiac intensive care units at Vancouver General Hospital and St. Paul’s Hospital are a Level 1 quaternary referral center for the province and manage complex patients with advanced heart failure, congenital heart disease, complex arrhythmias, and acute coronary syndromes. We work closely and collaboratively with other critical care colleagues and provide access to clinical rotations in cardiac critical care to medical students and residents from multiple specialties within the Faculty of Medicine at UBC.
