Trail Operations is one of the world’s largest fully integrated lead-zinc smelting and refining complexes. This site has over 26 different operating plants and processes concentrates and other materials from around the world to produce more than 290,000 tpy of refined zinc and 70,000 tpy of refined lead. Responsibilities:

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures

Project Management: opportunity to assist in coordination of maintenance projects in a processing plant; responsible for organizing, scheduling, and monitoring the status of maintenance projects

Monitor project budgets and identify inefficiencies and offer cost-effective solutions

Collaborate with engineering team to produce detailed designs for mechanical projects on site such as upgrades to equipment building facilities

Coordinate the plan and schedule for maintenance shutdown work

Support operations and work with skilled trades to fix equipment failure and develop repair scopes of work

Build and evaluate innovative ideas and technologies to help improve the way we do business

Qualifications:

Working towards an Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Comfortable working in a multi-faceted industrial work environment with a range of engineering, technical, and operational personnel

Motivated self-starter with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a capability to communicate complex ideas to all levels

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and a solid understanding of AutoCAD and SolidWorks would be advantageous

Wage Range: $4600 - $5900 / Month

Salary is commensurate with the number of academic semesters and prior co-op experiences completed.
