The role:
An outstanding opportunity has become available for an experienced Infrastructure Analyst to join Daimler Truck Financial Services (DTFS), located at our head office in Mulgrave. This new role takes a technical lead within DTFS IT having a strong emphasis on integrating, maintaining and developing enterprise cloud infrastructure, cloud technologies and workplace solutions within DTFS Australia & DTFS Asia, thus enhancing the scalability, resilience, affordability, usability and security of DTFS’ IT ecosystems.Working in a local team & closely with our overseas business partners, this role is locally autonomous with regular communication with our local Service Operations Manager and regional Infrastructure team across the APAC region.
Reporting into the Service Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
-Manage and maintain cloud hosted servers, applications and services including cloud infrastructure components and networking
-Maintaining office IT Infrastructure through a 3rd party provider
-Planning, designing, and implementing IT infrastructure solutions that meet the organization's needs
-Automation of deployment pipelines using Infrastructure as Code for all cloud deployments
-Working with vendors and third-party service providers to procure IT hardware, software and services, as well as managing vendor relationships and contracts
-Assisting the business with O365 service configuration
-Responding to technical issues and providing infrastructure support to end-users or other IT teams
-Liaising with the regional infrastructure team on shared vendor performance, escalations and best practice
Qualifications
Who we are looking for:
To be successful in this role, you will have strong relevant experience in a similar IT Infrastructure Specialist role, supporting enterprise level IT Infrastructure, with the confidence and skill to use your technical and analytical ability in conjunction with your understanding of business operations and stakeholder management.A collaborative and continuous improvement mindset as well as strong problem-solving skills are necessary for success in this role.Your ability to manage projects and have strong analytical capabilities will also be an advantage.
An excellent communicator and presenter, you will combine your exceptional people skills with strong technical skills to improve outcomes in cloud architecture, deployment, and automation to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enable agile operations while managing key vendors to deliver workplace services to staff.
You will be degree qualified, preferably in IT and ideally have relevant industry experience. Expert knowledge and experience in cloud automation tools, virtual networks and programming or scripting (Powershell. Bash, Ruby, Python, Java, Javascript, C++, C#) are essential. Knowledge in configurating middleware along with general knowledge of hardware, network and operating systems are necessary also.
