Job Description:

In your role, you will:

  1. Perform various stress analyses of Static Strength, Fatigue/Durability, Damage Tolerance, and Finite Element Model (FEM) for metallic and composite structures;
  2. Prepare the official stress reports in English for certification purposes;
  3. Review engineering drawings and participate actively in new design;
  4. Perform Material Review Board (MRB) duties in support of Operations activities;
  5. Engage in Engineering development work;
  6. Support various Aircraft development projects and initiatives;
  7. Work in close cooperation with other Engineering/PMP functions (Liaison, Design, Materials & Processes, Weights, Project, Systems, Program, etc.) and Operations (Methods, Quality, and Production);
  8. Support the Engineering/PMO and Operations organizations;
  9. Lead a group of stress engineers.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:

As our ideal candidate, you:

  • Hold a bachelor’s or Master's degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering;
  • Have a minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry (preferably with an OEM);
  • Possess Material Review Board (MRB) work experience (preferred candidate);
  • Have previous experience with Aircraft Development Programs;
  • Have knowledge and experience of Aircraft structural substantiation analysis: Static, Fatigue/Durability, and Damage Tolerance;
  • Have experience using Patran/Nastran, Nasgro, and Catia V5;
  • Have proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office;
  • Will integrate a position that requires energetic people with good communication skills, who are willing to accept responsibilities in a multidisciplinary team working environment;
  • Have leadership skills and the ability to coach and direct a group of engineers;
  • Must also be a person with initiative, a strong sense of responsibility, and good engineering judgment;
  • Have flexibility in working day, evening, or weekend if necessary;
  • Bilingualism (English and French) would be an asset.
