TWD is currently seeking an Intermediate Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Engineer to support our headquarters in Calgary, AB as an Independent Contractor.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide Electrical and Instrumentation maintenance engineering support to terminals across Canada.
- Frequent travel to site will be required for this role.
- Root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
- Provide technical support to operations and maintenance during troubleshooting activities to recover plant production, as required.
- Lead or provide technical support during incident investigations.
- Review equipment test results and advise on the frequency and scope of maintenance activities or if repairs / replacements/equipment upgrades are needed.
- Participate in risk analysis work activities, develop engineering solutions for various plant issues.
- Develop, present and/or make modifications to scope of work for maintenance as well as provide support during execution.
- Responsible for small to medium MOCs.
- Make recommendations for the procurement of materials, equipment and services for assigned work.
Qualifications:
Experience and Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a Canadian University or equivalent as recognized by APEGA
Professional Engineer (APEGA and/or PEO)
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Good communication, collaboration, networking and interpersonal skills.
- Strong team player and self-starter.
- Ability to work in an office and field environment.
- Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and practices.
- Ability to utilize sound technical practices/analysis to support recommendations, and solve complex technical problems with limited supervision.
Requirements:
- Valid class 5 driver's license.
- Must be eligible to work permanently in Canada.
Work Location: This is a site-based position. Frequent travel to the client’s distribution terminals will be required. Most of the work will take place in Ontario and Quebec.
