The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) position is responsible for aligning the company's objectives with those of employees and management in the designated location(s) and or business unit(s) he/she will support.

The incumbent is responsible for strategic partnerships in the business units that he/she supports and for providing operational advice and support. The incumbent oversees the delivery of HR services such as talent management, performance management, engagement, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management and change management locally and for the groups supported. In addition, the Sr. HRBP will collaborate with cross-functional teams regarding projects, initiatives, and HR best practices.

Your Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with leaders by focusing on management and leadership practices to better support employees and enable the achievement of company goals.
  • Participate in the implementation of HR action plans, programs and projects to support the Business Units (BU) strategic objectives.
  • Act as an expert by providing coaching and recommendations to leaders on a variety of HR topics to optimize employee engagement, retention, team development and organizational effectiveness.
  • Assess impacts, develop change management strategies, and support leaders with the implementation and communication of these plans over the various partners within CAE.
  • Support management teams regarding HR programs, policies and procedures, compensation, training, employee relations, performance management and succession planning to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Participate in the transformation of the organization within the scope of various continuous improvement projects.
  • Roll out various corporate programs and initiatives within client groups.
  • Support leaders through critical HR operational cycle such as talent reviews, salary planning and performance management.
  • Manage employee’s relations issues, ensuring early and appropriate solutions.
  • Be the first point of contact for employees, leaders by providing ongoing HR support.
  • Collaborate and maintain productive and courteous relationship with global internal stakeholders in a matrix environment.
  • Lead and participate in HR initiatives/projects.
  • Act as a coach for more junior HRBPs, be a sounding board for Human Resources Center of Excellence’s colleagues.

The ideal candidate has the following profile

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or business, certification from a recognized Human Resources professional association would be an asset.
  • At least eight (8) years of experience as a Human resource business partner role, preferably in a global or international multi-sites organization.
  • Strategic-thinking, able to identify solutions and associated impacts across the organization.
  • Must have experience developing and implementing a change management plan to support cultural transformation.
  • Related experience using common HRIS and reporting tools, MS suite applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks, while staying focused on deliverables and strategic priorities.
  • Professionalism and strong work ethics.
  • Proven leadership and team building skills, with the ability to persuade and influence at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills (spoken and written) to appropriately manage all interactions and relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
