You work independently as the expert in ultrasound at Campbellford Memorial Hospital and have the ability to identify urgent medical conditions within your scope of practice for immediate attention of the appropriate physician.*EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE** Successful completion of accredited ultrasound program* Eligible to be registered with Sonography Canada - formerly Canadian Association for Registered Diagnostic Ultrasound Professionals (CARDUP)/Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (CSDMS) or registered with American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS)* Current BCLS certificate* Experience as an ultrasound technologist in a health care facility with experience in a variety of ultrasound imaging modalities and techniques*SKILLS & ABILITIES** Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Must be able to work with patients independently and identify urgent medical indicators within the scope of practice and have the ability to alert the physician of urgent patient conditions that could affect treatment or further testing.* Computer skills, knowledge of EPIC, Microsoft Office, PACs.
