The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the insurance industry including knowledge in multiple insurance products, robust analytical skills, and a proven ability to execute.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

Broker Relationships - manage relationships with key brokers in collaboration with the Chief Underwriting Officers for Large Commercial and Middle Market in Canada including:

  • analyzing and utilizing data to deepen relationships with distribution partners across Canada.
  • ensuring brokers are well informed about the business appetite of various lines and identifying opportunities to distribute/cross-sell additional products and services;
  • ensuring AXA XL receives all agreed upon services, data, and support from brokers; and
  • developing and implementing other initiatives that will enhance trading relationships and portfolio profitability.
Client Relationships – manage relationships with key customers by:
  • taking the lead and being the primary touchpoint of a fully joined up business across the AXA Group;
  • articulating and bringing to life AXA XL’s value beyond the policy that will contribute to sustainable and profitable growth over the long term; and
  • contributing to an excellent experience in dealing with One AXA.
Product Relationships – work across all AXA XL product lines to influence:
  • a culture that puts clients first;
  • a mindset that is focused, fit and fast to solve problems together; and
  • growth in the Alternative Risk/Transfer Programs/Delegated Underwriting Authorities space.
You will report to the Head of Client and Distribution, Canada.

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with strategic partners.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and apply accordingly.
  • In-depth understanding of multiple lines of insurance products, underwriting processes, and industry trends.
  • Travel as required.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in alternative risk transfer, delegated authorities & programs.
  • Strong organizational skills, creativity and a desire for excellence.
