Our client in the manufacturing sector is looking for a contract based Technical project manager to assist with their infrastructure setup for their SAP implementation. Focus will be on managing timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful deployment of the infrastructure supporting various SAP modules.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership:
    Manage the end-to-end infrastructure setup for the SAP implementation, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Planning and Execution:
    Develop detailed project plans for infrastructure deployment, including resource allocation, scheduling, and milestone tracking.
  • Team Coordination:
    Collaborate with IT teams, SAP functional leads, and external vendors to define and execute infrastructure requirements.
  • Risk Management:
    Identify potential risks to project delivery and develop mitigation strategies to address infrastructure-related challenges.
  • Budget Oversight:
    Monitor project budgets, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources while meeting quality standards.
  • Vendor Management:
    Oversee vendor deliverables, ensuring timely provision of hardware, software, and cloud services for the SAP infrastructure.
  • Communication:
    Act as the primary point of contact for infrastructure-related project updates, providing regular status reports to stakeholders.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    Ensure the infrastructure setup supports optimal SAP performance, scalability, and availability.
  • Documentation:
    Oversee the creation and maintenance of detailed documentation, including project plans, infrastructure configurations, and post-implementation procedures.

Requirements:

  • Experience:
    Minimum of 10 years of project management experience focus on infrastructure/Data center, with at least 3 years focused on SAP infrastructure projects.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    Strong understanding of SAP infrastructure components (e.G., SAP NetWeaver, Basis), cloud services, and hybrid environments.
  • Project Management Expertise:
    Proven experience managing complex infrastructure projects using methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
  • Communication Skills:
    Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and external vendors effectively.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud.
  • Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning for SAP systems.
  • Track record of managing infrastructure for large-scale ERP implementations.
