About: Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive General Manager (GM) to oversee their cannabis facility operations. The GM will be responsible for managing inventory, scheduling, maintenance, working with the Master Grower and production team/QA/Logistics team and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This role requires strong leadership skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to manage teams effectively across multiple facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Improve day to day operations.
- Standardize best practice procedures and processes.
- Identify and correct inefficiencies.
- Work hand and hand with C-Suite and Master Grower.
- Oversee all facility operations, including inventory management, scheduling, maintenance, and production schedules.
- Coordinate and manage the team, including master growers, assistant growers, and production staff.
- Handle HVAC and other facility-related issues, coordinating with contractors as needed.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and maintain accurate records.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Manage and maintain equipment, ensuring all systems are functioning optimally.
- Collaborate with the head of cannabis to ensure the quality and consistency of products.
- Act as a point of contact for internal teams and external contractors, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Monitor and report on facility performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the cannabis industry.
- 5+ years experience in managerial role managing a facility operations
- Strong understanding of facility management, including inventory control, scheduling, and maintenance.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Knowledge of cannabis cultivation and production processes is a plus.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in using technology and software for managing operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in the cannabis industry is highly desirable.
- French language ability
