Job Description
We are currently recruiting a Francophone Transitional Support Caseworker.
Reporting to the Outreach Supervisor, this position provides supports and services to women and their dependents who have experienced abuse, including survivors of human trafficking, that will enable them to access safe and stable housing, as well as relevant supports such as court support.

Nous désirons recruter une travailleuse sociale chargée du soutien à la transition pour la clientèle francophone. Il s’agit d’un poste permanent de 30 heures par semaine, au service de la Maison Bernadette McCann.
Relevant de la superviseure des services de sensibilisation communautaire, ce poste offre des soutiens et des services aux femmes et aux personnes à leur charge qui ont été victimes d’abus, y compris les survivantes de la traite des personnes, afin de leur permettre d’accéder à un logement sûr et stable, ainsi qu’à des soutiens pertinents tels que l’aide légale.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Graduate of a post-secondary program in social sciences or related field
A thorough understanding of the issue of violence against women and impact of children who witness violence
Experience in crisis intervention, proven ability to work effectively, both independently and as a team member
Extensive knowledge of the needs of Francophone women living in Renfrew County, who have experienced abuse, including human trafficking
Ability to speak and write in French and English
A valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
Vaccinated against Covid 19

Compétences :
•       Diplôme d’un programme postsecondaire en sciences sociales ou dans un domaine connexe.
•       Compréhension approfondie des enjeux de la violence à l’égard des femmes et des répercussions de la violence sur les enfants qui en sont témoins.
•       Expérience en intervention de crise, capacité avérée de travailler efficacement, tant de façon autonome qu’en tant que membre d’une équipe.
•       Connaissance étendue des besoins des femmes francophones vivant dans le comté de Renfrew et qui ont été victimes de violence, y compris de la traite de personnes.
•       Capacité de parler et d’écrire en français et en anglais.
•       Permis de conduire valide et accès à un véhicule automobile.
