Brandt Truck Rigging & Trailers is seeking an individual to fill the position of Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician. This position will be responsible for performing mechanical repair and maintenance of trucks and trailers. Shift premiums and a boot & tool allowance will be provided.
Duties & Responsibilities- Ability to conduct CVIP inspections
- Troubleshoot major and minor mechanical problems
- Ability to repair and adjust mechanical components
- Complete written and oral work orders
- Repair and adjust truck drive lines, engines, and any other necessary mechanical components
- Instruct apprentices
- Diagnose and determine the nature and extent of repairs
- Other mechanical repair work and duties as required
- Journeyman Certificate or Red Seal & CVIP certification
- Ability to follow safe work practices
- Completion of College/vocational technical training
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
