As a Technical Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing the ISS system according to business requirements and IT needs. You will act as the technical resource for building, updating, and troubleshooting development, UAT and Production servers for the In Store Systems. Led by the Manager, Development and Solutions Delivery, this opportunity will suit someone that is highly motivated, solution driven, and collaborative.

  1. Support the core system functions by managing Test, Production and other internal departmental systems as required.
  2. Provide technical support to the functional and business analysis teams during proof of concept, system design and implementation project phases.
  3. Own changes to the technical design and configuration of core K8 applications to produce solutions which will benefit the Home Hardware Dealers.
  4. Perform minor scripting or software development activity to maintain systems, demonstrate possible development opportunities or interface with other systems.
  5. Conduct research into changes to existing systems as required.
  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with technical colleagues, business contacts and 3rd party software and service providers.
  7. Provide support to the change and project process when required by completing system documentation and conducting background research to change requests.
  8. Become a skilled and knowledgeable systems expert in order to assist the business commercially and to facilitate the resolution of systems issues.

We’re looking for:

  1. Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science or Data Science, with three to five years’ experience in the configuration and support of complex ERP, POS, and IT systems.
  2. Aptitude and ability to understand in-depth how large software applications function.
  3. Experience of the technical aspects solution delivery including programming, scripting, database querying, etc.
  4. Application fault diagnosis and solution provision experience, ideally including Linux / Unix Operating system level experience.
  5. Experience of the Life Cycle of delivering applications functionality to a large user base.
  6. Experience with the definition of Business / Functional requirements.
  7. Experience of application fault diagnosis and solution provision.
  8. An understanding of the underlying architecture of the software applications you have worked with, to the level necessary to allow the delivery of quality software solutions to our various Dealers.
  9. Experience of working with data files and interfaces to a detailed level.
  10. Ability to handle situations in a calm and proficient manner.
  11. Work as part of a team, with the ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
  12. Good analytical, communication, planning and time management skills.
  13. The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
