The Role
We are seeking a skilled Azure Architect to join our client's dynamic team in the heart of Ottawa s tech community. In this role, you will work on diverse IT projects, providing expert consultation to enhance client infrastructures and implementing innovative cloud solutions.
As An Azure Architect, You Will
- Design and Optimize Cloud Solutions: Craft cutting-edge solutions that integrate seamlessly with business processes, focusing on cloud infrastructure and platform services using Microsoft Azure.
- Lead and Collaborate on Projects: Take the lead on projects and work collaboratively with other IT professionals to ensure successful delivery. You ll be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects, from initial consultation through to implementation and optimization.
- Drive Innovation: Stay ahead of technology trends and leverage new capabilities from the cloud computing landscape to drive innovation across client solutions.
- Enhance Client Infrastructures: Analyze and understand client needs to better tailor cloud architectures that enhance their operational efficiencies and business outcomes.
- Problem Solving: Tackle complex challenges that arise during the integration of cloud technologies, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, and secure.
- Design and deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on Azure.
- Consult with clients to analyze their requirements and craft architectural solutions that meet their business needs.
- Lead the implementation of Azure cloud initiatives and ensure compliance with best practices in cloud architecture.
- Collaborate with project managers and software developers to integrate cloud services with on-premises technologies from Microsoft, Amazon, and other providers.
- Provide technical leadership in cloud computing and mentor team members to enhance their cloud capabilities.
- Manage disaster recovery and data retention strategies.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5-7 years of experience in designing, executing, and supporting IT cloud solutions.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of cloud architecture and hybrid systems.
- Skills: Excellent client-facing and consulting skills.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage projects in a dynamic environment.
- Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (Nice to have)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)
- Additional relevant Azure or cloud certifications are highly valued.
