We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee a new division under the AIM umbrella. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial insights.
- Oversee various accounting functions, including Billing, Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), General Ledger (GL), Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, analyzing variances.
- Prepare and publish monthly financial statements.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Research and address technical accounting issues to ensure compliance.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and sales tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
- Perform any other controller-related tasks as necessary.
- 5+ years accounting experience
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience in creating financial statements and managing general ledger functions.
- An advanced degree in Accounting is preferred.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification is a plus.
- Excellent skills in using accounting software and administration tools.
- Bilingual (French and English), preferred
