Analyst Role Overview:

An Analyst will be exposed to all aspects of the credit lifecycle:

  1. Acquisition
  2. Marketing
  3. Account Management
  4. Collections

Primary Tasks Include:

  1. Establishing optimal credit risk policies and limit calculations
  2. Analyzing current strategies
  3. Building A/B testing strategies
  4. Defining rules to manage exposure based on customer performance
  5. Assisting the project manager, business analyst, system development, and IT teams to design solutions that set the business up for future success
  6. Engaging in a consultative role with the Marketing and Collections operational teams to streamline their mandates
  7. Producing monitoring reports

Other Responsibilities:

  1. Mentoring and upskilling of junior analysts
  2. Ensuring the business is compliant with regulations and external data providers (e.g., credit bureaux)
  3. Generating ad-hoc reports and analytics
  4. Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with colleagues, customers, and external vendors
  5. Working collaboratively in a team to assist on other key projects in the Customer Management Services team

Key Requirements:

  1. B. Degree with Mathematics/Statistics or equivalent (Essential/Advantageous)
  2. Advanced computer literacy skills with a high proficiency in SQL or SAS and Microsoft Excel
  3. Experience in all areas of the credit lifecycle
  4. Proven experience with scorecards and analytics

Skills and Attributes:

  1. Knowledge of how credit risk scorecards are built and experience in assigning risk strategies on risk groups derived from scorecards
  2. Able to query and interpret data quickly and clearly
  3. Self-motivated driver of performance
  4. Great at finishing projects and disciplined in meeting deadlines
  5. Strong problem assessment and decision-making ability
  6. Attention to detail with a methodical approach to work
  7. Able to regroup and reorganize when priorities shift
