Montreal, Canada Talent Minded Full time

TalentMinded is the first subscription-based, full-service, end-to-end talent acquisition solutions company in Canada. We provide companies with the people, processes, tools, technology and employer branding strategies they need to hire the right talent. We are on a mission to build the next generation of talent acquisition solutions and leaders. We believe there is a critical gap in recruiting and a short runway in many traditional recruiting roles. We want to change that.

At TalentMinded, we're excited to collaborate with our client, a global technology company with an awesome mission, whose Canadian operations are based in Montreal QC. We are hiring an embedded Talent Advisor to join their team on a 2-month short-term contract. As they embark on a journey of growth, your role will be pivotal in filling critical positions within their organization.

As their new Talent Advisor, you will partner with multiple teams to champion their employee value proposition and cultivate a recruitment process centered around enhancing the candidate experience. While ideally they prefer someone who can work from their office in downtown Montreal 1-2 days a week, remote candidates will also be considered.

Here’s what you will do as their embedded Talent Advisor:

  • Full-cycle recruitment. You will manage talent acquisition from hiring manager intake to offer negotiation and onboarding with the candidate. You will network and source talent proactively to ensure healthy and strong talent pipelines, leveraging multiple attraction sources and platforms.
  • Candidate experience. You will conduct phone and video interviews with candidates to evaluate their qualifications, maintaining open communication and providing timely feedback.
  • Collaboration. You will build and nurture trusting relationships with hiring managers across the organization to understand their needs and support them throughout the recruitment process, providing advice and recommendations on next steps.
  • Analysis. You will identify market and pipeline insights to provide strategic advisory to hiring managers, optimize talent strategies to engage the best candidates and ensure efficient talent searches.

What you bring to the team:

  • A love of recruitment. You have end-to-end recruiting experience, working both independently and as part of a team. You adhere to and promote the latest guidelines in DEI hiring practices and actively work to promote an unbiased talent and work culture. You are meticulous, but you understand the importance of speed and efficiency in producing results.
  • The business acumen. You can navigate a complex and matrixed environment, rapidly coming up to speed on processes and tools. You are proficient with MS Office and an ATS, ideally Pinpoint. You are accountable and driven, and you thrive in a fast-moving environment. You have a passion for processes with outstanding organizational and prioritization skills.
  • The interpersonal skills. You have professional communication skills and can adapt your style to suit any audience. You have an outstanding ability to build and foster client and candidate relationships. You have negotiation and conflict management skills and can influence decisions. You are committed to treating people well, appreciating hard work, inspiring loyalty, and motivating those around you.

What you can expect if you apply:

  • A decision on your application within 10 business days.
  • An interview process that consists of:
    • A virtual interview with a member of the TalentMinded team discussing your interest in the role, experience and how you will make an impact.
    • A virtual interview with the client’s Recruitment Manager, North America and Global Head of Talent & Recruitment to learn about the strategic deliverables for the role and share your insights in talent acquisition, as well as an opportunity for them to answer your questions.

We’re keen to ensure our hiring process allows you to be at your best, so if you need us to make any adjustments, please contact careers@talentminded.ca .

We recognize that not everyone takes the same path when it comes to building their skills. Diversity of thought, innovation, curiosity, and a team-focused approach can combine to form the best set of qualifications. If you have 70% of the qualifications we are looking for, please consider applying.

At TalentMinded we are an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to ensuring that no candidate is discriminated against because of gender identity and expression, race, disability, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, colour, region, creed, national origin, or sex. We are dedicated to growing a diverse team while continuing to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels safe and empowered to be themselves.

Help us maintain an inclusive culture.

We want anyone, anywhere to have the same chance and opportunity to build a life they love and that they are proud of. We are proactive in creating a belonging environment that anyone can be a part of. Thoughtful, data-driven decision-making is core to this success. We ask these questions to strengthen our practices by using data to identify and mitigate unconscious bias in our hiring process.

If you choose to answer them, the responses are ONLY used in aggregate to help us identify areas for improvement in our processes. Your responses, or your choice to prefer not to say, will not be associated with your application and will not in any way be used in the hiring decision. For one, that’s illegal, and we’re really not into breaking the law. Keep being awesome, and thank you for considering work at TalentMinded.
