Who you are:
Geotab is seeking a Senior Customer Project Manager who will play a vital role in driving the success of strategic customer facing projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery of product pilots and implementations to drive greater product adoption across key industry segments.
What you'll do:
The primary purpose of this role is to oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects focused on optimizing a premier customer experience.
- Responsible for overall project execution success, serving as the main point of contact for customers and senior management for the project.
- Support all aspects of the implementation and progression of assigned projects, from original concept through project closure activities.
- Provide leadership to the project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals and adhere to their responsibilities and project milestones.
- Define project goals and deliverables that align with the company’s strategic objectives and customer expectations.
- Define high-level work plans, key project tasks and deliverables, and manage the integration of resources and knowledge across projects and tasks.
- Manage project issues, risks, and changes in scope to mitigate impact to customer experience and critical path deliverables.
- Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues — communicating across leadership.
- Participate in establishing best practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization.
- Collect customer feedback and lessons learned to continuously improve project management processes & best practices.
- Coach, mentor and motivate more junior Project Managers.
What you'll bring to the role:
- 5-8 years of experience in Project Management.
- 5-8 years of experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment.
- Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills.
- Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
- Self-motivated and decisive with the ability to adapt to change.
- Experience within a technical or engineering organization is an asset.
- Professional Project Management (PMP) certification required.
