  1. Estimate repair cost based on damage examination report
  2. Inspect repaired vehicles
  3. Plan repair work to be performed
  4. Professionalism in customer service
  5. Test drive vehicles for proper handling
  6. Clean and maintain work space
  7. Instruct apprentices
  8. Replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
  9. File, grind and sand body surfaces to be repaired
  10. Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
  11. Hammer out dents, buckles and defects using blocks and hammers
  12. Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
  13. Apply primers and repaint surfaces
  14. Repair or replace interior components
  15. Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields and sunroofs
  16. Mix paint, blend and match colors
  17. Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
  18. Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment

Auto Body Repairer Trade Certification
