Principal Geophysicist – Mineral Exploration and Environmental

We’re expanding our team with a seasoned Senior Geophysicist who brings both technical depth and leadership to complex exploration programs across multiple commodities and terrains. ResponsibilitiesAct as direct report for a team of Geoscientists, field crews, laboratory and shop operations.Lead the design, management, quality control, interpretation, reporting and deliverables of ground, borehole, drone and airborne geophysical and geospatial surveys for critical mineral exploration, environmental, engineering, land use and other applications.Prepare and present technical reports, interpretations, and recommendations to clients and internal management.Mentor and develop junior geophysicists and field staff.Participate in professional development and give technical presentations at conferences, short courses and seminars.Develop and maintain relationships with clients, communities, government and other relevant groups.Attend conferences, prepare quotations and support other business development activities. Support R&D team with geoscientific, analytical and field logistical feedback and guidance.Collaborate closely with geological, geochemical, and data science teams to advance and refine integrated analysis and AI targeting approaches.Contribute to EarthEx’s active R&D and technology development programs, applying innovative methods and tools. QualificationsMinimum 15 years of progressive experience in mineral exploration geophysics.Registered Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo) or eligible for registration in a Canadian jurisdiction.Degree in Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or a related field.Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary technical teams and deliver high-quality reports.Excellent communication and presentation skills; French language proficiency is considered a strong asset.Advanced knowledge of survey design, modelling, and interpretation across magnetic, EM, gravity, Radiometrics, IP, Magnetotelluric, ANT, GPR and other geophysical and or geospatial methods is an asset..Proficiency with industry-standard software such as Oasis Montaj, VOXI, Geoscience Analyst, Various GIS software, Leapfrog, and related modelling/inversion tools are an asset.Experience and aptitude in geophysical system design, construction or repair is an asset.
