OverviewWe are looking for a highly motivated sales professional to join our North America sales team. As a Territory Sales Manager, you will sell, promote, and demonstrate the RIDGID & Greenlee lines of tools and equipment. The ideal candidate will reside in the Ottawa area. This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager for the Canadian Region.ResponsibilitiesAccountable for the direction, coordination, and growth of all utility market sales through direct customer contact and close coordination with local ProTools Territory Managers.Working in a matrix-managed environment, which includes providing coaching and direction to regional Territory Managers.Performing field product demonstrations, training, & technical support with end-users and distribution channel partners.Driving strategic new products sales and solutions to expand markets and shareDeveloping, presenting, & implementing annual business plans to deliver incremental sales growthDeveloping and Managing a monthly/yearly sales forecastDeveloping & owning relationships with both Key Distributor Partners and End UsersThe subject matter expert for the product, applications, & pricing program for your given marketSupporting regional & national organizations through training and special projects executionWho You AreYou are self-motivated, a problem solver, and a solution provider. You enjoy & excel at building deep customer relationships. You plan, organize, & manage my work & time well. You prefer a hands-on approach with a “roll-up your sleeves and get dirty” mentality. You collaborate & communicate effectively both internally and externally across multiple teams.For This Role, You Will NeedExperience with distribution channels, with an emphasis on Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, & Industrial.1+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Industrial Distribution, or other relevant fields; OR2+ years of relevant experience in Industrial sales instead of a bachelor’s degreeDemonstrated success in formulating, presenting, executing, & measuring a Territory Business Plan to deliver incremental sales growthStrong communication skills, both written and verbalPerforming field product demonstrations, training, & troubleshooting with end users and distributionDriving strategic new products sales and solutions to expand markets and shareDeveloping and managing a monthly/yearly sales forecastA proven track record and successful history of achieving goals and sales targetsDeveloping & owning relationships with both Key Distributor Partners and End UsersBeing the subject matter expert for product, applications, & pricing program for your given marketSupporting regional & national organizations through training and special initiative executionBuilding & monitoring merchandising displays at key distributor channel partner locationsThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to work in Canada without the need for sponsorship now or in the futurePreferred Qualifications That Set You ApartFive (5) years of experience in Sales, Marketing, or technical support of B2B Sales preferredProficiency in MS Excel & PowerPoint; CRM Application experience a plus.Our Culture & Commitment to YouAt Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
