We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join a team in Markham, Ontario. In this long-term contract position, you will play a crucial role in supporting various human resources functions while maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating resourcefulness. This is a fully onsite role with the potential for permanent placement, offering an opportunity to contribute significantly to a growing HR department.Responsibilities:- Manage day-to-day administrative HR tasks, including drafting letters, preparing communications, and generating monthly reports.- Coordinate and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.- Administer benefits enrollment processes for both new hires and current employees.- Address employee relations matters, such as leaves of absence, workplace accommodations, and incident reporting.- Collaborate with managers to submit required forms and develop effective return-to-work plans.- Lead recruitment efforts for frontline positions, including conducting interviews and onboarding new team members.- Facilitate comprehensive orientation programs to ensure smooth integration of new employees.- Analyze and report on employee data, including tenure and retention, to provide actionable insights.- Maintain employee records using BambooHR or similar HR systems, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.- Contribute to policy development by researching and drafting guidelines to align with organizational objectives.- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR generalist role.- Proficient in HR systems such as BambooHR, ADP Workforce Now, or Ceridian Dayforce.- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.- Familiarity with workplace safety protocols and HR processes.- Proven ability to manage administrative tasks efficiently while maintaining confidentiality.- Experience with recruitment, onboarding, and employee benefits administration.- Knowledge of immigration support processes is an asset.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
