Metro Supply Chain is a 2024 winner of the Canada’s Best Managed Companies program, recognized for its strategic expertise, culture of innovation and commitment to its people and local communities.SUMMARYThe Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing various functions of HR such as providing service and support in the areas of recruitment, performance management, strategy, change management, employee relations, training and development, health and safety, to the assigned line of business/multi-sites and or region.RESPONSIBILITIESPlay an integral role as a business partner responsible for all aspects of Human Resources Management for a dedicated regionContribute to the development and implementation of HR programs that support the strategic plans of the business units and the organizationSupport the operations leadership team to achieve their business goals and to grow their leadership skillsProvide expertise on all human resources matters including employee relations, performance management and organizational developmentPlay an integral role in the on-boarding processProvides leadership and consultation to Management in the areas of employee relations, performance management, salary and performance review, corrective action and documentation, recruitment and selection, coaching and development, and policy/legislation awareness.Advises on legislative changes and/or trends in HR; ensures on-going legal compliance with all relevant provincial employment legislation and HR policy; and ensures consistent and fair policy and practice application.Actively participates in the department’s strategic plan by providing input and consultation on HR issues.Ensures selection, transfer, and promotion processes are in place EXPERIENCEMinimum of 5 to 10 years in Human Resources field as a manager in supply chain or relevant businessUnderstanding of Employment Standards and legislationExcellent PC skills, including Microsoft office suite; advanced Word skills requiredWell-developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Extremely organized, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize.Experience working in a professional and confidential capacityHRIS system experience EDUCATIONHuman Resources Degree preferredCHRP, CHRLWhy Join Us Work in an environment where safety is our first priorityThe opportunity to build a career with a growing companyMedical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your familyLife and disability insuranceWellness programs to support your family’s well-beingA Retirement Savings Program with a company matchCompany team wear allowanceEmployee Appreciation DayCompany sponsored social eventsCommunity volunteering
