Introduction

We are hiring a Project Planner for our client based in Oakville, Ontario. The Project Planner will be a member of the NAM PM Team, reporting to the Planning Manager. The successful candidate will promote and share the culture of Planning within the NAM broader team, from Sales to Commissioning. This is a 12-month contract position that follows a hybrid work structure.


Responsibilities

  • Promote a safe work culture.
  • Aid the Project Managers on Complex Projects
  • Drive effective resource utilization and coordinate workload across team. Prioritize and assign work.
  • Act as a connection between the PM team and other internal teams as needed.
  • Assist in the development of preliminary planning(s) at bid phase, to be included in our offers to Customers.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Planning activity, learning from experience, and sharing best practices.
  • Travel to customer sites and Veolia offices as needed for project and team support including but not limited to Veolia team training and customer meetings.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or engineering discipline from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as Planner in Water and/or Industrial Construction projects.
  • Deep knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout North America, and internationally as required.
  • Precise and meticulous.
  • Team player.
  • Focus on customer relationships.
  • Ability to negotiate.
  • Knowledge of and/or demonstrated ability to learn about equipment and process related to the company’s portfolio.
  • Ability to plan multiple priorities and focus on the most important ones.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new problems, clients, and situations.
  • Ability to propose decisions without all the information.
