If you\'re driven by solving complex tax issues, guiding clients with precision, and mentoring a high-performing team, this role offers the next step in your career.You\'ll work in close partnership with firm leadership to provide proactive tax solutions for a diverse client portfolio that includes high-net-worth individuals, growing private companies, and trust/estate matters. As a visible leader, you\'ll play a critical role in driving quality, compliance, and innovation across all tax engagements.What You\'ll Own:Lead and manage a dedicated tax team of 7, providing technical guidance, training, and performance feedbackDeliver advanced planning strategies across corporate, personal, and trust taxation with a focus on long-term value creationAct as a key advisor on client matters such as owner-manager tax planning, succession strategies, and estate optimizationOversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns, ensuring compliance and alignment with Canada Revenue Agency requirementsCollaborate directly with firm Partners to scope, execute, and deliver tax engagements that exceed client expectationsMonitor and implement legislative tax changes, advising clients and internal stakeholders accordinglyContribute to business development efforts through strategic relationship building, networking, and proposal reviewChampion a collaborative, client-first culture that aligns with the firm\'s growth and service excellenceWhat You Bring:Successful completion of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax ProgramA minimum of 10 years of progressive tax experience within public practiceAdvanced knowledge of Canadian taxation for corporations, individuals, estates, and trustsProven ability to manage and review complex tax planning filesStrong familiarity with CRA compliance requirements, audit processes, and deadlinesExperience using CCH TaxPrep and CaseWare for tax preparation and file managementLeadership capabilities that include mentorship, accountability, and client communication skillsCompensation and Location Details:Base Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000 CAD (commensurate with experience)Bonus Structure: Performance-based, with criteria shared during final interview stagesWork Location: On-site at the firm\'s Richmond Hill headquarters (hybrid options available post-onboarding)Relocation Support: Not available at this timeAbout the clientOur client is a full-service, partner-led professional services firm based in Richmond Hill, serving clients across a broad spectrum of industries including real estate, fintech, professional services, and nonprofits.
