Senior French Content Editor – Digital Marketing (Contract)Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – Downtown) We are seeking a Senior French Content Editor to support digital marketing initiatives across web, mobile, and online platforms. This role is ideal for an experienced French-language professional who brings strong editorial judgment, deep knowledge of French-Canadian linguistic standards, and the ability to deliver high-quality content in fast-paced, Agile environments.Role OverviewAs a Senior French Content Editor, you will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and proofreading English-to-French digital content to ensure accuracy, consistency, tone, and grammar. You will play a key role in maintaining a consistent French-Canadian voice across all digital channels while ensuring alignment with editorial standards and regulatory language requirements.You will also coordinate translation work with external agencies and vendors, manage quality control, and occasionally translate content directly when needed. The role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Key ResponsibilitiesReview, edit, and proofread English-to-French content across web, mobile, and digital platformsEnsure content aligns with French-Canadian linguistic standards and OQLF guidelinesCoordinate translation requests with external vendors and manage timelines and quality expectationsTranslate content directly from English to French when requiredConduct terminology research and ensure consistency across contentSupport Agile workflows and collaborate with cross-functional teamsApply SEO and accessibility best practices to digital contentContribute to maintaining and improving French editorial standardsMust-Have SkillsNative or near-native proficiency in French (French-Canadian)Proven experience editing, proofreading, and reviewing English-to-French translationsStrong knowledge of French-Canadian linguistic nuances and terminology researchHands-on experience with translation tools (Trados, MemoQ, Antidote)Familiarity with Termium and OQLF standardsExperience coordinating translation work with external agencies or vendorsAbility to manage multiple deadlines in an Agile environmentNice to HaveDigital marketing or web content experienceExposure to SEO and accessibility standardsExperience working with content management systems (CMS)This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level French editor who takes pride in precision, consistency, and high-quality digital content.
