Intermediate Accountant

We are looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join our team in Toronto, Ontario, for a contract position within the manufacturing industry. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing cash flow, overseeing financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will also collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maintain efficient financial processes while contributing to monthly reporting and reconciliation activities.Responsibilities:- Prepare and update weekly cash flow forecasts to support liquidity planning and operational needs.- Monitor and review bank transactions daily to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.- Manage accounts receivable processes, including milestone invoicing, aging analysis, and collections tracking.- Conduct accounts payable reviews to verify payment readiness and address any discrepancies.- Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and voucher payables to maintain ledger accuracy.- Compile and submit monthly financial reporting packages and provide support during audits.- Generate inventory reports and reconcile sub-ledgers with the general ledger to identify and address variances.- Calculate and record inventory obsolescence provisions in compliance with company policies.- Serve as backup for accounts receivable and accounts payable functions during staff absences or peak periods.- Prepare and issue various invoices, including commercial and proforma, as required.- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or related financial roles.- Proficiency in accounting software systems and tools.- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.- Expertise in performing reconciliations and generating accurate financial reports.- Ability to analyze and forecast cash flow effectively.- Familiarity with inventory management and related accounting principles.- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks.- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining financial accuracy.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
