Staff Accountant

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant for our client. This position offers the chance to play a critical role in their accounting operations and gain exposure across a broad range of financial responsibilities.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and record journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and other adjustments, ensuring all entries have proper supporting documentationTrack capital projects and fixed asset additions, ensuring proper capitalization timingMaintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedulesContribute to month-end and year-end close processes by preparing detailed schedules, financial reports, and performing in-depth financial statement analysis and reconciliationsPrepare supporting documentation and schedules to respond to auditor requestsAssist in the filing of all required business returns and regulatory reporting (e.g., Tax, Workers' Compensation, Health)Support the preparation of financial statements and internal reportsMaintain accurate, up-to-date records of all financial transactionsAssist during audits and provide required supporting documentationAnalyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvementEnsure compliance with internal controls, policies, and proceduresSupport Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as neededCollaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and process improvementsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred1+ years of accounting experienceStrong knowledge of accounting principles and proceduresExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency with MS Excel and accounting softwareStrong analytical and communication abilitiesJoin our client's team and grow your accounting career with exciting challenges and opportunities.
