OverviewAs a Superintendent you will play a significant part in the success for Ganotec. You will function as a field supervisor and be responsible for multiple Foreman, and/or laborers/craft workers. You will be responsible for the organization, work methods, scheduling, cost control, conformity with drawings and specification, workmanship, and assignment of work to accomplish the execution of the work, either directly or through General Foreman or Foreman. You will also work to maintain positive working relationships with clients, architect/engineer, suppliers, subcontractors, and jobsite staff.Requisition detailsRequisition ID: 176176Job Level: Mid LevelHome District/Group: Ganotec DistrictDepartment: Field SupervisionMarket: IndustrialEmployment Type: Full TimeLocationThis role is located in the GTA area.ResponsibilitiesPlans foreman and crew activitiesAssists in the coordination and planning of projectsOversees all operations relating to a specific discipline/segment of workPerforms daily inspections of work performedProvides job safety training and awareness for personnelEstablishes budgetary guidelines for the job, and ensures that cost control measures are being followedEstablishes quality standards of all jobs, and ensures that all quality assurance and company standards are being metQualifications8+ years' construction experience with 3+ years being in a Mechanical Superintendent/Leadership capacity (preferably working in oil & gas industry etc.)Ability to oversee multiple disciplines such as (steel, piping, mechanical)Must be a self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervisionAbility to quickly learn and understand various processes regarding Ganotec's policies, procedures and software programsAbility to identify and resolve any problems that may ariseExcellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skillsStrong experience in leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administrationOther RequirementsRegular, reliable attendanceWork productively and meet deadlines timelyCommunicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environmentPerform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
