Senior Java Developer, Capital Markets Join Alithya as a Senior Java Developer in the Capital Markets division. Your work will help evaluate and manage the firm’s exposure during periods of market volatility. Your role, your impact In this role, you’ll develop risk computation platforms for our client’s brokerage division. These systems process billions of daily calculations and use big‑data storage solutions to support advanced analytics and seamless data dissemination. You’ll collaborate closely with business partners across trading, finance, and risk management, engaging global stakeholders on high‑impact projects. Your day-to-day Architect and develop risk applications following microservices patterns, distributed caching, and stream processing to scale to billions of computations daily. Architect and develop efficient, on‑demand pricing solutions. Deliver large‑scale P&L and risk projects for trading and sales functions, aligned with business growth and regulatory initiatives. Contribute to the technical direction of future risk platform versions. Provide technical leadership with a scalability‑and‑stability‑first approach. Leverage DevOps practices and tooling for CI/CD, TDD, and build tools. Develop tooling and processes to enhance team efficiency. Collaborate with technical and non‑technical teams to solve business and technology challenges. Adopt a client‑centric approach to support business growth models. Gain deep understanding of securities pricing and risk across asset classes. Keys to your success Minimum 6 years of Java experience, with strong JVM knowledge. Experience with: Azure (preferred), AWS, or Google Cloud. The Spring stack and microservice development with Spring Boot. Designing and integrating REST APIs, gRPC endpoints. Messaging technologies. NoSQL databases, Hadoop, and distributed caching (Redis preferred). Big‑data streaming technologies (Flink, Kafka Streams, Spring Cloud Stream). RDBMS packages with strong SQL fluency. Git, CI/CD tooling (Maven/Gradle), and Jenkins. Agile environments. Knowledge of derivatives pricing and capital markets. Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Extra edge Knowledge of Scala, Angular, React, Excel integration, ELK, and TypeScript. Language Skills English: Proficient.
