We are currently looking for a Scheduler based in our Granby office, who will report to the Master Planning, Forecast & Scheduling and contribute to optimize the short-term production sequence according to the machine and human resources available.What we offer:-A career path, not just a job-Competitive base salary, accompanied by an annual performance bonus.-Comprehensive group insurance program, including a telemedicine program.-Group RRSP with employer contribution.-A hybrid work environment and summertime schedule.-Laptop provided-Reimbursement for annual gym fees and other wellness initiatives-Free coffee an affordable on-site cafeteriaResponsabilitiesBased on the Production Director Program (PDP), propose a production sequence for each cell using the APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling) system over a period of approximately one to three monthsOptimize the scenarios according to the different resources available, while keeping the objective of respecting the PDPCommunicate the issues when the scenario cannot align with the PDPAnalyze the recommendations of the ERP in line with the recommended sequence of the APS systemIssue recommendations to planners and operations stakeholders regarding human resources and machinery needs within one to three months; in line with the delivery schedule and fluctuations in resourcesCommunicate to stakeholders the work plan for the coming weeks in line with the deliverables committed to the Sales departmentIn collaboration with the purchasing department, manage and monitor the outsourcing process in order to optimize internal production capacityCommunicate regularly with the production team to identify and integrate solutions related to potential issues and optimize sequencesParticipate in the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in order to measure, on the one hand, the respect of the sequence by the production, and on the other hand, the respect of the PDPParticipate in the development of a dashboard that integrates the capacity of bottleneck machinesParticipates in the decision-making of internal production or subcontractingDevelop and monitor outsourcing plans to meet capacity needs or collaborate with Velan's North American factories to obtain operational supportTogether with the Manager, Value Stream (VSM), participate in the weekly distribution of the workforce according to the work centers, on its horizon of one to three monthsDevelop and maintain APS system operational parameters for the plant Your profile-Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or Related Field-Minimum 10 years of experience in production planning and inventory control in the manufacturing field-Knowledge of MS Office, particularly excel-Knowledge of ERP-Good knowledge of French and English, spoken and written (bilinguism)-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment-Spirit of continuous improvement-Advanced analytical skills-Excellent written and verbal communication-Ability to assume a leadership role-Development mindsetIf you want to learn more about this career opportunity as a Scheduler, we look forward speaking with you
