Description du poste

Nous sommes actuellement à la recherche d'un technicien en électronique pour Québec.

Responsabilités:  

  • Effectuer la maintenance préventive et corrective conformément aux plans de maintenance approuvés.
  • Veiller à ce que les équipements d'essai soient étalonnés régulièrement conformément à un plan d'étalonnage approuvé.
  • Restaurer les systèmes en remplaçant les modules ou les composants défectueux; Réparer les modules défectueux sur place lorsque cela est nécessaire.
  • Prendre les dispositions nécessaires pour que les modules soient réparés dans l'usine du fournisseur ou dans les installations de réparation internes de l'entrepreneur lorsque la réparation n'est pas possible sur place.
  • Enregistrer toutes les activités de maintenance et de réparation dans le système électronique d'information sur la maintenance (MIS).
  • Tenir les registres indiquant toutes les activités de maintenance préventive et corrective, y compris les résultats des tests
  • Préparer et soumettre des rapports aux représentants institutionnels comme indiqué dans ce document.  Les représentants institutionnels peuvent exiger des réunions fréquentes pour suivre les activités quotidiennes et les questions/problèmes inhabituels.
  • Effectuer un inventaire annuel des systèmes de sécurité électronique, de leurs principaux composants et des principales pièces de rechange. Rapporter les anomalies aux représentants institutionnels pour résolution. Par exemple : les principales pièces de rechange ont été épuisées et le système est maintenant vulnérable sans pièces de rechange sur place ; ou de nouveaux systèmes ont été ajoutés mais les rapports de transfert de maintenance requis n'ont pas été soumis à l'administration centrale.
  • Inspecter et tester les articles revenant des installations de réparation pour s'assurer qu'ils sont opérationnels et qu'ils répondent aux paramètres de qualité pertinents, y compris les pièces de rechange entrantes.
  • Maintenir la propreté des zones de travail ; balayer, laver et aspirer les sols selon les besoins.
  • Se conformer à toutes les règles et réglementations locales en matière de sûreté et de sécurité, telles que publiées par l'institution.
  • Fournir une assistance téléphonique aux autres techniciens sur demande.
  • Être disponible pour les services de garde après les heures normales selon le calendrier de garde local.
  • Soumettre des rapports au superviseur régional.
  • Effectuer des recherches proactives et se tenir au courant des systèmes nouvellement installés afin de pouvoir gérer efficacement l'équipement

We are currently seeking an electronics technician for Quebec.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs preventative and corrective maintenance in accordance with approved maintenance plans.
  • Ensures that test equipment is calibrated on a regular basis as per an approved calibration plan.
  • Restores systems by replacing faulty modules or components. Repairs faulty modules on site when feasible.
  • Makes necessary arrangements for modules to be repaired at the supplier’s plant or at contractor’s in-house repair facilities when repair is not possible on site.
  • Records all maintenance and repair activities in the electronic maintenance information system (MIS).
  • Maintains records showing all preventive and corrective maintenance activities, including test results
  • Prepares and submits reports to the institutional representatives as specified in this document. Institutional representatives may request frequent meetings to monitor daily activities and unusual issues/problems.
  • Performs annual inventory check of electronic security systems, their major components and major spare parts. Reports anomalies to institutional representatives for resolution. Example: major spare parts have been depleted and system is now vulnerable without spare parts on site; or; new systems have been added but the required maintenance hand-over reports have not been submitted to NHQ
  • Inspect and test items returning from repair facilities to ensure they are operational and meet relevant quality parameters, including incoming spare parts.
  • Maintains clean working areas; sweeping, washing and vacuuming floors as required.
  • Complies with all local safety and security rules and regulations as published by the Institution.
  • Provide Telephone Support to other Technicians when requested.
  • Available for on-call services after regular hours as per the local on-call schedule.
  • Submits reports to the Regional Supervisor.
  • Proactively researches, and stays up to date with newly installed systems to be able to manage the equipment effectively.


Job Requirements:
Qualifications

  • Au minimum un diplôme d'études collégiales d'un programme de technologue ou équivalent. Une combinaison d'études et d'expérience avec la capacité prouvée d'effectuer les tâches du poste peut être acceptée.
  • Connaissance des communications dans les équipements de test de GP, les ordinateurs commerciaux et personnels et leurs périphériques, plus particulièrement sur le soutien informatique et le fonctionnement des réseaux, ainsi qu'une expérience des logiciels de la suite MS Office.
  • Ce rôle exige que tous les candidats détiennent actuellement ou soient admissibles à une autorisation du gouvernement fédéral au niveau de fiabilité améliorée (niveau 1).

Mandatory Requirements:

  • A minimum of a college degree from a technology program or equivalent. A combination of education and experience with a proven ability to perform the duties of the position may be accepted.
  • Knowledge of Communications in GP test equipment, commercial and personal computers and their peripherals, more specifically on IT support and network operations as well as MS Office Suite software experience.
  • This role requires any candidates to currently hold or be eligible to obtain a Federal Government clearance at the enhanced reliability (level 1).

  • Une bonne compréhension des systèmes de radiofréquence, de télévision par câble, de télévision en circuit fermé, de sonorisation/interphonie et de contrôle automatisé est un atout.
  • Francais est essentiel; le bilinguisme est un atout.

  • The incumbent must be able to communicate his/her ideas clearly, and this requires good interpersonal skills in order to problem solve and interact at the client site effectively.
  • Decisions require clear conceptual thinking of complex technical situations; advice must be sought if uncertainty exists.
  • CompTIA A+ and Network+ an asset.
  • Working at heights (Fall Arrest), First Aid, Confined Space and WHMIS certifications are considered assets.
  • A good understanding of RF, CATV, CCTV, PA/intercom and automated control systems is an asset.
  • French essential, bilingualism an asset.
