Introduction

The Vital Statistics Branch is responsible for administering The Vital Statistics Act, The Marriage Act, The Change of Name Act and processing disinterments under The Public Health Act. A high-volume and front-line office, the Branch registers vital events in Manitoba and issues foundational identity documents as proof of those events.

Conditions of Employment: Must be legally entitled to work in Canada Must provide and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check Qualifications: Essential: Post secondary education in adult education, business administration or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered Experience interpreting, applying and explaining policies and procedures and/or legislation or Acts Experience developing and implementing training and operational manuals Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to present information to a variety of stakeholders Excellent written communication skills, with experience writing clear, concise documents and reports Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders  Strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities and deadlines  Effective analytical and problem-solving skills with proven ability to make sound decisions Experience using life event registry and life event application processing software
