Role Responsibilities

The CDCS Operations Technologist plays a vital role in the everyday operations and overall management of the Crop Disease and Control Section (CDCS) field program.

Reporting to the CDCS Site Coordinator, the successful candidate will:

Support the planning, implementation, and management of CDCS strategies to ensure capabilities meet the evolving needs of AGI staff. Participate in strategic and operational planning, safety programs, and resource activities. Serve as an alternate contact for CDCS's site operations and emergency response plan. Liaise with AGI staff and non-GOA collaborators to develop plans and initiatives, ensuring the safety and maximization of site capacities. Optimize the use of CDCS infrastructure, developing effective operational plans to maximize resource utilization in CDCS PBHSS programs. Maintain policies for the safe storage of chemicals/pesticides and equipment, and oversee field/plot locations and special needs to meet program demands. Collect, record, analyze, and summarize data on CDCS activities, including maintaining inventories on field materials and assets.
