Seeking a Foot Care Practitioner to provide routine foot care nursing services to residents and clients in long-term care homes within the GTA region of Ontario.

**Job Description:**

As a Foot Care Practitioner, you will travel within an assigned portfolio of homes, providing routine foot care nursing services to residents and clients. You will work closely with the Operations Manager to enhance the effective management and quality of nursing practice in keeping with the Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario and the Fixing Long Term Care Act.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Ensure resident care is provided with established nursing standards and principles, physicians' orders, and administrative policies.
  • Assess residents and contribute to resident care plans, monitoring residents' health and noting changes in condition.
  • Perform foot care procedures for which recognized training and current competency can be demonstrated.

**Qualifications:**

  • Advanced and Diabetic Foot Care Certification is required.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
  • Access to reliable transportation and a "G" class license.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of nursing and health care practices, as well as knowledge in Infection Control Practices.
  • Effective human relation skills and demonstrated commitment to working with seniors.
