**Medical Lab Technologist Opportunity at Joseph Brant Hospital**

We are seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join our team at Joseph Brant Hospital, a full-service community teaching hospital located in Burlington, Ontario.

**Job Description:**

As a Medical Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for performing testing, calibration, quality control, and maintenance procedures on reagents and equipment in a Core Laboratory setting. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure accurate and timely results. Your strong working knowledge of Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine will be essential in this role.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Perform testing, calibration, quality control, and maintenance procedures on reagents and equipment
• Troubleshoot issues and maintain equipment in accordance with departmental policies and procedures
• Work independently and as part of a team to ensure accurate and timely results
• Maintain accurate records and reports
• Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure smooth operation of the laboratory

**Requirements:**

• Current CMLTO registration
• Recent experience in a Core Laboratory setting
• Strong working knowledge of Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to work in a MS Windows-based environment

Joseph Brant Hospital is a full-service community teaching hospital located in Burlington, Ontario. We are a Clinical Education site in conjunction with McMaster University and designated as an Academic Community Teaching Hospital. Our expanded campus includes a state-of-the-art Michael Lee-Chin & Family Patient Tower, featuring a new Emergency Department, 295 acute inpatient beds, and 9 new Operating Rooms.
