Job Title: Software Engineering Intern/Co-op

We're seeking a highly motivated Software Engineering intern/co-op to join our team. In this role, you'll work closely with our software engineers to build and maintain our software applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Work on building and maintaining software applications
  • Receive training on the full software creation process, from design and built to testing and deployment
  • Develop scripts to automate software development processes
  • Learn debugging methodologies to investigate software issues
  • Craft technical/functional documents and reports as needed
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a Canada-based University in a Bachelor program majoring in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • Knowledge/experience with software engineering concepts, principles, and theories
  • Programming skills in C/C++, Python, Windows PowerShell, Linux shell script, Perl, Java, JavaScript, UML
  • Operating systems experience in UNIX/Linux OS
  • Databases experience in MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
  • Cloud computing platforms experience in Azure
  • Web development frameworks experience in Django, Rails, Spring Boot
  • Markup languages experience in HTML, XML, XSL
  • Defect tracking, testing, debugging experience
  • Version control experience in Git, GitHub, Perforce
  • Security technologies experience in OAuth, SSL, TLS
  • PC/CPU architecture, Embedded systems, microcontrollers experience
