**Speech-Language Pathologist Wanted**

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at One Care Inc. to enhance communication, improve swallowing function, and promote overall quality of life for individuals across the lifespan.

**About the Job**

We are looking for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to address speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages.

**Responsibilities**

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, in collaboration with the individual, family, and interdisciplinary team
• Implement evidence-based speech-language therapy interventions to address identified goals, including articulation, language comprehension, fluency, voice, and pragmatics
• Provide swallowing assessments and interventions to improve safety and efficiency of oral intake, collaborating with other healthcare professionals as needed
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities, such as direct therapy, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and dysphagia management strategies
• Educate individuals, families, and caregivers on speech and language disorders, therapy techniques, and strategies for home practice and carryover
• Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes, documenting interventions and progress regularly
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to ensure coordinated care and interdisciplinary support
• Advocate for individuals' communication and swallowing needs, ensuring access to appropriate services, resources, and community supports
• Opportunity for workshop development for parents of our current clientele and those within the community
• Stay current with research, best practices, and trends in speech-language pathology, participating in professional development activities and continuing education opportunities as required

**Qualifications**

• Master's degree (or equivalent) in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), preferred
• Experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist, preferably in a healthcare or educational setting
• Strong clinical skills in assessment, intervention planning, and implementation across diverse populations and settings
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to cultural competence, diversity, equity, and inclusion in service delivery
• Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning
