ABOUT THE ROLE:We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to build innovative web-based products and services for our loyalty program partners. The Technical Product Manager will be a permanent member of the Product Management team in our Toronto office.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:As a Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for defining product strategy and collaborating with engineering, marketing and sales to bring world-class solutions from conception to your customer. You will aggregate customer requirements, prioritize new capabilities, build product roadmaps and manage the product life cycle and bring those product capabilities to market.

In this role, you will work on our flagship product -a white label solution that empowers the world's biggest loyalty programs to become engagement and revenue engines for the airline or hotel chains they represent.

As a Technical Product Manager reporting to the Product Manager, Lead (LCR), will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with the Product Managers, Directors, and VP of Product to continually evaluateour portfolio of products/services to maximize revenue for our loyalty partners and for Points as a company.
  • Leading product discovery activities by working with loyalty program partners, program members and internal teams to innovate on the LCR product portfolio.
  • Managing product backlogs, project timelines, scope, milestones, and prioritization.
  • Writing product requirements, technical specifications, transaction flows, release plans, and other operational processes to manage the product life cycle.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to create efficient tools and APIs for our internal and external applications. ​
  • Understanding, researching, and following technical trends in the industry.
  • Using Agile product delivery practices; working closely with software engineering to build, test, release, and measure all product initiatives.
YOU ARE SOMEONE WITH:

  • 2-3+ years Software Product Management experience is required.
  • A passion for commerce platforms. Strong background or familiarity with ecommerce development and related areas.
  • Familiarity with systems design thinking processes and how they impact software development.
  • Understanding of enterprise software product lifecycles for multi-stage long-term strategic initiatives.
  • A strong understanding of microservices and API development.
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams including data engineering, sales, marketing, business management and customer care;
  • Goal-oriented, detail-oriented, ambitious, and strong ability to follow-through on commitments.
