Junior Environment Coordinator

Sil Industrial Minerals is a leading company in industrial sands, blasting abrasives, and equipment, dedicated to providing excellent service and top-quality products to its customers through innovative technology.

As a Junior Environment Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the company's environmental compliance and sustainability.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete provincial applications under EPEA, the Water Act, and Public Lands Act.
  • Coordinate and support field work prior to, during, and following pit activities.
  • Support the Land and Environment Team in activities including resource exploration, quality testing, land maintenance, and public engagement.
  • Promote and execute the company's safety program.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in biological, environmental, or agricultural sciences.
  • Registered as, or eligible to become, a member-in-training with the Alberta Institute of Agrologists (AIT) or Alberta Society of Professional Biologists (BIT).
  • Relevant environment industry experience is considered an asset.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a high level of independence.
  • Willingness to learn and grow as a professional.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Strong communication skills, including technical writing ability.
