Allied Universal is seeking Professional Data Centre Security Guards in Montreal, Canada.

Title: Data Centre Security Guard- Bilingual

Location: Montreal

Payrate: $20.10 +Premium(Subject to the position)

Schedule: Mondays- Sundays available (Open availability for rotational shifts, including days, nights, and weekends)

Positions: Full-time, Part time and Causal position(On-call)

Overview:

Allied Universal is seeking an experienced Data Centre Security Guard to maintain the physical security data center facilities. The ideal candidate will monitor and control access to the premises, conduct regular security checks, and respond to incidents or breaches. This role demands a high level of attention to detail, excellent observation skills, and the ability to act quickly and effectively in potentially high-stress situations

Requirement:

  • 1-2 years of proven experience as a security guard, preferably in a data center or similar environment.
  • Open availability for rotational shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
  • Proficiency in both French and English- Bilingual
  • Must pass a comprehensive 5-year reliability background check and have a clean security record. Preference will be given to permanent residents and citizens.
  • Computer skills Required: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and documentation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with CCTV systems, access control systems, and alarm monitoring software.
  • Excellent observation and surveillance skills.
  • Must have a valid BSP Security License.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control access control to the data center, ensuring only authorized personnel are allowed entry.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the data center premises to identify and address security risks.
  • Respond promptly to security alarms and incidents, investigating and documenting any breaches or suspicious activities.
  • Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV, access control systems, and alarm systems.
  • Maintain detailed logs and reports of security activities and incidents.
  • Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to ensure comprehensive security coverage.
  • Enforce company security policies and procedures.
  • Provide security support during emergency situations, such as evacuations or lockdowns.
  • Conduct security audits and inspections as required.
