Job Summary

The Staff Pharmacist plays a vital role in assisting the Pharmacy Manager in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations at Walmart Canada. This position requires a strong focus on patient care, ensuring that each patient receives personalized attention and guidance based on their specific needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient experience by ensuring accurate and efficient prescription filling, counseling patients on pharmaceutical products, and maintaining proper storage of medications.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Professional Services District Managers and other stakeholders to drive business growth and improve patient outcomes.
  • Process prescriptions and refill requests from customers, doctors, and hospitals, ensuring compliance with established workflow models and provincial regulations.
  • Operate all pharmacy equipment, including registers and computer systems, while maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and address patient needs by providing eligible services, such as medication reviews and injections, to meet specific patient requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to execute business action plans and achieve corporate goals, ensuring the pharmacy is open and operational during posted business hours.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess a Pharmacist License and have a secondary optional permit in Alberta (CA_APA - Additional Prescribing Authorization). Preferred qualifications include experience in a similar role and a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and patient care.
