Business Development Manager, British Columbia

Seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to identify and secure new business opportunities in British Columbia's engineering industry.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities through networking and research.
- Developing business strategies to build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients.
- Leading the bid process, preparing and delivering proposals to potential clients.
- Delivering presentations, leading and participating in Business Development initiatives to promote RVA brand and secure new business deals.
- Supporting major pursuits and proposals, monitoring budgets and schedules.
- Managing tasks, team, schedules, budgets, cost control processes, and project work procedures.
- Supervising and mentoring engineers, designers, and technologists.
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, regulatory agencies, utility companies, and contractors.
- Representing RVA in professional associations and agencies.
Requirements:
- Completion of a University degree in Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Licence to practice as an Engineer in the province of British Columbia.
- 15 years of experience in a consulting environmental with at least 10 years focused on business development initiatives.
- Strong people management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with water regulatory frameworks and permitting processes in the province of British Columbia.
- Superior English communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a collaborative, team environment.
