Registered Nurse/registered Psychiatric Nurse, Inpatient Psychiatry Unit

We are seeking a Relief Full Time Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to provide psychiatric nursing care services to patients in an inpatient psychiatry unit.
The salary range for this position is CAD $59.52 per hour.
**Job Description**
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team in Langley, B.C. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatric nursing and excellent communication skills.
**Key Responsibilities**
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care of assigned patients
• Actively participate in and support the total therapeutic program of the Unit
• Collect information from a variety of sources to enable the provision of appropriate nursing care
• Write timely and accurate reports of relevant assessments and observations
• Communicate and consult with members of the health care team about patients' care
• Act as an advocate to protect and promote the patients' rights
• Participate in quality improvement activities and research
• Participate in the orientation and ongoing education of nursing staff and students
**Qualifications**
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
• May require completion of substance use certificate program
• Ability to complete initial and ongoing mental health and substance use client assessment and provide nursing care
• Knowledge of mental illness and substance use treatment
• Counselling and group facilitation skills
